My Background
Qualified as Theatre Designer and Model Maker initially designing stage sets and costumes for local touring productions.
Life eventually took me down a different path through Operational Management and Project Management till I eventually settled as an Improvement Specialist in the fast pace corporate world.
The need to create never left. Joining a local art group made me fall back in love with painting.
This website helps me share that joy.
My Medium
Like any artist who likes to experiment you develop skills in multiple mediums.
Having been lucky enough to study Art & Design from a young age, I have a broad range of techniques under my belt from Textiles, Printmaking to Pottery.
The material I choose is very much driven by the subject I’m working on.
These days my pottery takes a back seat to drawing & painting but I'm sure it'll creep back in at some point
Inspiration
I’ve always loved nature and being out in the fresh air surrounded by countryside.
Nothing better to clear the cobwebs than a quick dog walk over the fields.
I'm incredibly lucky to get to meet fantastic artists from all over the world assisting on tailor made art retreats. The sense of community it brings is motivation in its self and the friends you make last a life time. Reach out if you want to know more.

My subject matter spans plants, wildlife, pets, landscapes and occasionally portraiture, although that's still a work in progress.
